Nobody can call a number they never see.

Customers search, compare three results and tap one. Here’s what goes into being that one, piece by piece.

The title is your shop sign.

Say what you do and where. People skim; the first words matter most.

The address proves it’s really you.

It has to match your Google Business Profile, word for word.
  3. 3

The description is your one-line pitch.

Google sometimes rewrites it. Good pages give it better material.
  4. 4

Stars come from your reviews, and people read them.

97% of US consumers read reviews of local businesses.1

02 · Found in AI answers

Your next customer might ask ChatGPT, not Google.

When someone asks an AI assistant for “a good plumber near me”, it names a few businesses and skips the rest. It picks the ones whose facts it can read, trust and repeat. We build your site to be one of them.

of US consumers used ChatGPT or another AI tool to find a local business in 2026, up from 6% a year earlier.1

01

Answers in plain words

Pages that answer what people actually ask (“Do you work weekends?”, “How much is a call-out?”), so an assistant can quote you directly.

02

Structured data

Every fact labelled for machines: business type, hours, area, prices, FAQs, reviews.

{"@type": "Plumber",
 "openingHours": "Sa-Su 08:00-18:00",
 "areaServed": "Ottawa"}
03

Facts that match everywhere

Your name, address, phone and hours identical on your site, Google, Apple Maps, Bing and directories. Mismatches make AI unsure, and unsure means skipped.

04

Readable without tricks

Many AI crawlers don’t run JavaScript.3 Our sites deliver every word as plain, fast HTML, so nothing is hidden from them.

05

Doors open to AI crawlers

A robots file that welcomes the assistants you want, a sitemap, and an llms.txt summary, the way this site has.

06

Reviews that say something

AI summarises your reviews. We set up an honest, identical review ask, so recent reviews mention the real work.

03 · Win the click

Then look like the obvious choice. Instantly.

Mobile first

Designed for the phone in their hand.

Most local searches happen on a phone. Every page is composed for a thumb first, with the call button always in reach.

Accessible by design

A motion switch, keyboard access and readable contrast come standard. This one works on this page right now.

  • Book and call buttons in reach of a thumb.
  • Proof up front: reviews, prices, response time.
  • Loads in about a second instead of six.

Straight answers

Questions owners ask us most.

Something else? Ask us on a free call, or send a text.

What exactly does Pinlight do?

We design, build and run websites for local businesses: trades, clinics, salons, restaurants, shops and consultants in Ottawa and anywhere in Canada. That includes SEO and Google Maps setup, visibility in AI answers, booking and quote forms, hosting, security, and changes whenever you need them.

How much does a website cost?

Builds are quoted after a free call, because a one-page site for a painter and a booking system for a clinic aren’t the same job. You get a fixed price in writing before anything starts. Care plans are published: $49, $99 or $199 a month, plus HST/GST.

Who owns my website?

You do. When the build is paid in full, we assign you the copyright in the custom work, in writing, and waive our moral rights so you can change it freely. Your domain is registered in your name. Fonts, libraries and stock images stay under their own licences, which allow their use on your site.

Can you get us into ChatGPT or Google’s AI answers?

Nobody can guarantee what an AI says. What we can do is make your business easy for it to understand and trust: plain-answer pages, structured data, matching details everywhere, and a steady flow of honest reviews. Our free site check shows where you stand today.

What if my site goes down at night?

Monitoring checks your site every minute, around the clock, and alerts us straight away. Because we build fast static sites on a global network (no plugins to break, no database to hack), outages are rare, and any bad update can be rolled back in seconds. We respond within your plan’s window during business hours. Details are in the care-plan terms.

What if I stop paying for a care plan?

Plans are month to month after launch. If you leave, we hand over your site files, your domain access and your accounts, and help you move. You keep everything you own.

How long does a build take?

It depends on the size: a focused one-page site is quicker than a multi-location site with booking. You’ll get a timeline in writing with your quote, and you approve the design before we build.

Will I be number one on Google?

Nobody honest can promise that. We build sites that give Google every reason to show you, then measure and improve.
